It was a small bar, tucked away in a quiet street, with wrought-iron tables and warm lights flickering lightly under lanterns. Zazà's perfume mingled with the buzz of the city that flowed slowly outside the fogged-up windows. Seated opposite each other, they seemed out of time. They ordered an amaro. Maybe to warm their hearts more.

When they got up from that table, with the lights now low and the stars ready to witness, there were no promises. Only the knowledge that they had experienced something that even time cannot erase. And that place, silent witness of a fragile and infinite love, remained there forever, full of their last ‘we’.
